Sedation Dentistry

Our main goal is to always make sure you are comfortable and have the best experience possible. Sedation dentistry allows us to complete more extensive cases while you are completely comfortable under the supervision of our trained team.

Oral Sedation

Oral sedation is administered by a single pill, while you remain completely awake. It can help with patients who suffer from mild anxiety, without the need to be completely under.

A common misconception of oral sedation is that the patient is fully asleep - however, with the correct dosage a patient should never be rendered unconscious, as it poses a serious health risk! Our certified staff always takes great care to administer oral sedation as instructed. You can trust our capable staff to take care of you.

IV Sedation

IV Sedation is administered intravenously, and provides a more relaxed feeling than oral sedation. It's a great fit for moderate to severe anxiety in patients. We want to ensure you are completely comfortable for long cases and high anxiety, so we bring in a licensed anesthesiologist specifically for your appointment. You are monitored with the best hospital standard equipment by the anesthesiologist and our trained assistants to ensure the most safe and relaxed environment.

General Anesthesia

With general anesthesia, you are completely asleep for the duration of the procedure. We take great pride in being able to offer this service for patients -  our team can provide anesthetic services based on your individual needs, and can provide a consultation to help decide which treatment is the best fit for you.

Above all, your safety comes first!

Smile MD
